Let the Waiting Begin

We are officially on the wait list for our little boy......22 months - 33 months to be exact. We are so, so excited....yet, I think also a bit numb to the fact that we are this far along so quickly. Can't wait to get to Ethiopia and see our son, and for our girls to meet their brother.

Adoption Timeline

Here is our timeline so far:

Feb 9, 2010 - Mailed in I600 paperwork

Feb 9 - Feb 21, 2010 - Mailed all paperwork to Gladney

Feb 16, 2010 - Mailed fingerprints to FBI

February 24, 2010 - Homestudy

March 5, 2010 - mailed off all documents to KBS Dossiers (all we are waiting on for that is homestudy approval, FBI approval and CIS approval)

April 14, 2010 --- received CIS fingerprint date, received FBI approval, and received word our homestudy was approved.

April 16, 2010--Gladney Approved

April 22, 2010 --- CIS Fingerprints done.

May 19, 2010-- Recieved Referral from Gladney

June 7, 2010 - Received I71-H approval from Immigration

July 16, 2010 -- Received official dates of MOWA and for our in court visit of July 27, 2010. We fly out July 23rd and appear in court, Tuesday, July 27th.

July 27, 2010 ---- Received court approval for adoption of Rediet. Travel back on Aug 14th and pick up Rediet; US Embassy visit Aug 19th.
